Valentin Gruener had a passion for helping sick animals since he was just a few years old boy. Once he grew up, his passion took him to Africa, where he hoped to work with big cats. On his journey he met Mikkel Legarth and together they founded the Modisa Wildlife Project in Botswana.
Not long after he began helping animals there, he met Sirga, tiny lion cub. Sirga was abandoned by her lion family after her siblings were killed. After rescuing her, Valentin and Mikkel decided they didn’t want her to grow up in captivity and they were working hard to raise her in the wild.
Years later, their bond is truly beautiful.
