The Time We Have (In JellyBeans)

You’d never say jellybeans could be so inspirational!

In this amazing video YouTuber ZeFrank used the jellybeans to spell out how precious is the time we have.

Everything starts with 28,835 jellybeans. Or days. That’s the average American life span.

“You might have more beans in your life, or maybe less, but on average, this is the time we have,”

Then, using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, he breaks down how most of our jellybeans are spent: 8,477 beans go on sleeping, 1,635 beans are used for eating or drinking-related activities and 3,202 jelly beans for working. We spend an additional 1,099 jelly beans in a car, 2,676 staring at a television and 1,576 are slated for random household chores.

The list continues until all our daily activities are done. Once everything is covered, we are left with roughly 3,000 jellybeans. Those are the beans we have left to do with what we please – and never have they seemed so sweet.
