Here comes a great heartwarming story.
Sergeant First Class Jerry Holcomb spent 13 years serving America through the United States Army. During his many years of service, Jerry was awarded two Purple Hearts, two Bronze Stars and many more from several different tours in Afghanistan and Iraq.
To thank this army veteran for his invaluable service, the non-profit organization Operation Finally Home wanted to surprise him with a very special gift. During an FC Dallas soccer game, Sgt. Holcomb and his wife were presented with a new home for their entire family.
We can’t imagine a more beautiful way to honor a retired service member. Not only did Operation Finally Home give Sgt. Holcomb the chance for a new start back from the front, but his family has a new place to call home and a chance for them all to recover.
Their reaction to the news was completely heartwarming.
