Sometimes, we forget that even the smallest gesture could make a difference in someone’s life.
Josiah Duncan was eating at a Waffle House with his mother when he noticed a lonely man sitting at the table and being ignored by the staff. He asked his mother why is that so and when he learned that the man was homeless and what homeless means, he felt that he should do something.
He went and spoke to the man. Looks like such a small thing, but it’s actually the most wonderful gesture reminding grown ups that homeless people are also human beings. How can children see what is the right thing to do, but adults often turn their heads and pretend someone is not there? Josiah and his mother bought the man a meal and spoke to him. So simple, yet so touching.
