Why did you start Positive Atmosphere?
I was on a plane (coming home from a trip to Dubai I think?) reading a Zig Ziglar book, and he was talking about doing what you're passionate about. So I thought "What am I passionate about?". I came up with learning/self improvement and travel. Then I thought "How could I have the freedom to travel while working in the self improvement field?". You're looking at the answer :)
Later I formed my personal mission statement, which is "To be happy and free, and share with others as much as possible". Positive Atmosphere is how I do that as well :)
The mission of Positive Atmosphere is "Connecting Positive People to Inspire and Empower". The idea is, if you put a bunch of positive people in one place, and give them the necessary tools, they will help keep each other inspired and empowered. It's like joining a sports team and showing up to practice. We're here to learn and grow together. We're your team!
Is Positive Atmosphere a non-profit? How does the site make money?
We're not a non-profit at the moment, but I haven't ruled that out. Most of the site's income comes from advertising, sponsors, affiliate relationships with companies such as Amazon etc, and sales of shirts etc. We try hard to be very transparent about how we make money, and we want you to feel comfortable here. Thank you for your support!
How can I help?
Tell your friends about Positive Atmosphere! You can also start a local group in your area, and I can get you the info on that. If you have other ideas for promoting and or improving Positive Atmosphere please let me know, I'm always looking for ideas and/or help.

Nope :) Positive Atmosphere welcomes people of any faith or no faith. We don't push any one religion, and we respect everyone's beliefs :)

What are the blogs?
Blogs are where you can just jot down your thoughts, like a journal, or you can write more of an article, whatever you want. Others can see your post and comment on it if they wish :)
What is the "wall"?
The wall is where you can say hi to someone in more of a public way than a regular direct message. Your post will be there for others to see as well as the person whose wall it is. It's a great way to congratulate someone publicly, or just say a quick hello etc.
What is "karma" all about, and how do you become a "positeer"?
The leafy things are karma, which you gain as you do more stuff at the site. You get points for things like adding pictures, writing blogs, joining groups, etc. It really just indicates how much you've contributed in total to this point. When you max out your karma you will receive the title "Positeer", which is a term unique to Positive Atmosphere :)
